In a display of rapid-fire culinary consumption, British competitive eater Leah Shutkever has officially reclaimed her title as the world's fastest burrito eater. Shutkever smashed the record by scarfing down an entire burrito in a staggering 30.75 seconds during a visit to the Guinness World Records headquarters in London.

The impressive feat edges out American competitor Miki Sudo, who had held the record since late 2022 with a time of 31.47 seconds. Shutkever had originally set the record back in 2019 and previously logged a personal best of 32.35 seconds on Italian television. Footage from her latest attempt showed her taking gargantuan bites, barely pausing for air as she cleared the plate in barely half a minute.

Shutkever did not stop at Mexican cuisine during her visit to headquarters. The former architect also set two additional world records on the very same day, inhaling eight churros in 60 seconds and consuming 613 grams of strawberries in a minute. The triple victory pushes her total career collection to an astonishing 42 Guinness World Records.
