Early Sunday morning in Rosenberg, Texas, a routine late-night drive turned into an unusual emergency when a 60-year-old man found himself in desperate need of a restroom. Arriving at a local Kroger supermarket around 4:30 a.m., the driver was dismayed to find the front doors firmly locked for the night.
Rather than seeking an open venue nearby, the driver decided to take extreme measures to reach the facilities. According to the Rosenberg Police Department, the man intentionally stepped on the gas pedal and rammed his SUV straight through the grocery store's glass entrance doors.
Photos released by law enforcement showed shattered safety glass littering the pavement and a badly bent metal doorframe, with the vehicle finally coming to a halt inside the store right next to a seasonal display. Arriving officers questioned the driver, who candidly admitted he smashed through the building because he was upset the store was closed when nature called.
Police arrested the man on charges of criminal mischief, while noting on social media with a touch of local humor that while nature sometimes demands urgency, motorists should strongly prefer finding an open business to conduct their business.
